What are interfaces?
Interfaces are designed to carry out the information transfer between COYALab and automated equipment or analyzer systems.
Data are transmitted by electronic means (serial cables, network, files transfer) ensuring information quality.

- Elimination of repeated entries of orders: the patient and its tests are entered once (in COYALab), and then sent to the analyzer.
- Results are digitally transferred to the LIS, avoiding potential human error in transcription.
- Processing time reduction with bi-directional communication (depending on whether the function is available in the analyzer).

Don’t depend on the software of one equipment provider.
Since some time ago, equipment providers/manufactures have been offering management systems for laboratories, even at a relatively low cost. But where does the problem lie? The problem lies in the dependence created when trying to change or purchase a new analyzer from another brand, leaving it to the provider/manufacturer’s discretion whether to connect it (or NOT) to the LIS.
